How to cook Curry Chicken, Nasi Kunyik (turmeric glutinous rice) and Steamed Water Egg with up to 50% time, energy and money saving (save gas or electric bills) methods.
Normally we cook curry chicken on one stove, nasi kunyit on another stove and steam water egg on the third stove. With AMC Multi Cooking System, we can cook curry chicken, nasi kunyit & steamed water egg all at the same time on only one stove.

Following are the recipe (serving size 4 to 6 people) :-
AMC Cookware Used
- AMC Audiotherm
- AMC 24cm Super Deep 6.5L Cookware Set (Place at bottom to cook curry chicken)
- AMC 24cm Flat Steamer (Place at center to Steam nasi kunyit)
- AMC 24cm serving dish (place on top to boil water egg)
- AMC Navigenio Hot Plate
Ingredients - Curry Chicken
- 1 kg/ 2 lbs (approx) of chicken cut into 3" pieces (on or off the bone, as you prefer)
- 1 tsp red chilli powder (reduce for less spicy - this quantity makes a medium spicy curry)
- 2 tsps coriander powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp fennel powder
- 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
- 1 onion ground to a paste in food processor
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 2 3 cm stick of cinnamon
- 2 star anise
- 4 cloves
- 15 curry leaves
- 10 medium sized potatoes, washed well and cut into quarters
- Salt to taste
- 5 tsbs of extra virgin coconut oil (only put after curry chicken cooked)
- 5 cups of water
Method
Put all the ingredient into the AMC 24cm Super Deep Cookware to marinate the chicken for 20 minutes except coconut oil.
- 500 g glutinous rice
- 2 slices tamarind pieces
- 3 tbsp turmeric powder
- 2 litres + 150 ml hot water
- 300 ml thick coconut milk
- 1 tsp black pepper (Optional)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 pandan (screwpine) leaf
Method
- Wash glutinous rice and then add the tamarind pieces (optional), turmeric powder and 1.5 litres of hot water. leave to soak for 30minute to 1 hour.
- Drain and remove the tamarind pieces and rinse the rice once with tap water and pour it into AMC 24cm flat steamer.
- 3 eggs
- 9 half egg shell of water
- 1/4 tsbs of salt to taste
Method
Use a large bowl or container, break 3 eggs and add them in it. Save a half eggshell and use it as measuring unit. For each egg, add 3 half eggshell of water to the container. So we have 3 eggs here, total of 9 half eggshell of water. Mixed it well and pour it to the AMC Serving Dish.
Step 1 - Place the AMC 24cm Super Deep 6.5L onto AMC Navigenio hot plate.
Step 2 - Place the AMC 24cm Flat Steamer at center on the AMC 24cm Super Deep 6.5L.
Step 3 - Place the AMC 24cm Serving Dish at top on the AMC 24cm Flat Steamer like the picture show below.
Step 4 - Switch on the AMC Navigenio and turn to big frame No. 6 until the AMC Visiotherm reach 12 o'clock or center, after the AMC Audiotherm signal "beep" further cook it for 15 minutes.
